18+ Pick-up Basketball: Monday 6:30 - 8:30 p.m., February 3, 10, 24 (No February 17). $12 for session or $5 drop-in. Municipal Gym.

30+ Pick-up Basketball: Sunday 9:00 - 11:00 a.m., February 2, 9, 16, 23

16+ Volleyball: Tuesday 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. February 4, 11, 18, 25. $16 for session or $5 drop-in. Municipal Gym.

Boot Camp: Ages 16+. Boot Camp Fitness offers custom small group training sessions offered by a Certified Personal Trainer.  Our sessions focus on exercises and functional training.  A 60-minute workout with a 15-minute ending stretch will improve your core strength and balance. January 7 - February 27. 1x/week $64, 2x/week $96, or $10 drop-in. Classes will be held in the Old Town Hall on Town Street on Tuesday, 6:00 - 7:15 p.m. and Municipal Gym on Thursday, 5:45 - 7:00 p.m.

Gentle Yoga: This class is appropriate for all levels of fitness or yoga experience. Ages 16 and up. Improve your strength and flexibility while decreasing stress. Enjoy moving your body and breathing mindfully! Sunday: January 5 - February 9 and February 23-March 30. 6:30 - 7:30 p.m. Senior Center. Wednesday: January 8 - February 12 and February 26-April 2. 6:30-7:30 p.m. $60 for each 6 week session or $15 for a single class.

American Red Cross CPR for Babysitters Class: Open to all those who have taken our Babysitting Class. March 4 & 11, 5:30-7:00 p.m., Parks & Rec Activity room, Municipal Building, $76.

Mad Science STEM Odyssey for Grades 1-3: Join the Mad (Science) Labs program after school for a hands-on exploration of sights, sounds, nature, and more! Optical illusions, the secret components of white light and hidden rainbows, and movies explore our sense of sight. Other senses, such as taste and hearing are investigated too. Thursdays, January 7 - February 11. 3:15 - 4:15. (1/14 and 2/11 -  2:15 - 3:15 p.m. early dismissal). East Haddam Elementary School. Cost: $143.

Abra-CLAY-Doodle Grades 1-3: Explore various projects using Air Dry Clay, Crayola Model Magic, Modeling Clay, painting with clay, and more! Gather information, be inspired, and try ideas from famous artists and movements. Mondays, February 10, 24, March 3, 10 (No Feb. 17) 3:15 - 4:15 p.m. East Haddam Elementary School. $67.

Home School Family Open Gym: Open gym offers a safe place for homeschool families to get together, burn off some energy, and have fun! Bring your families and sports/game equipment to the Municipal Gym. Parks & Rec equipment is available upon request. Suitable for all ages.Tuesday, February 4, 11, 18, 25, 10:30 -11:30 a.m. Registration required. $5 per family.

Stop the Bleed Course: This is a FREE 60-90 minute class presented by STOP THE BLEED, American College of Surgeons. Learn how to stop bleeding until the First Responders arrive. 7:00 - 8:30 p.m. Next class is March 17, 2025. Municipal Building, Meeting Room 3. Space limited. Register online at easthaddamrec.com.

Skyhawks Hoopster Tots Basketball Ages 2-5: Learning basketball has never been more fun! These classes focus on dribbling, shot technique, passing and teamwork. Adjustable hoops and appropriately-sized basketballs are used to always provide just the right amount of challenge. *Parent participation required for ages 2-3.5 years. Saturdays, January 4 - February 8. Ages 2 - 3: 11:15 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. $105. Ages 4 - 5: 12:10 p.m. - 1:00 p.m. $110. Registration Deadline December 8. Municipal Gym. Limited Spaces Available.

Safe Boating Course: Successful completion of the class qualifies a person to purchase their Certificate of Personal Watercraft Operation (CPWO) for $50 on the Online Sportsmen Licensing System. Tuesday, April 29 and Wednesday, April 30, 5:00-9:00 p.m. Must attend both days. $25

Wildlife Wonders with LEGOS for Grades K-2: Design and build your way through the animal kingdom, from sea to safari, using LEGO parts. Thursdays, March 20, 27, April 3, 10, 3:15-4:45 p.m., EHES, $100.

Indoor Youth Soccer for Grades K-3: Wednesdays, March 19, 26, April 2 and 9. Grades 2-3 3:15-4:15 p.m. Grades K-1 4:30-5:30 p.m. EHES, $60.

High School Boys Volleyball Open Gym with Coach Thiele: Thursdays, March 13-May 8 (No April 17), 7:00-8:30 p.m., Municipal Gym, $24 for 8-week session of $5 drop-in.


Spring Outdoor Youth Soccer for Ages 4-Grade 6: Saturdays, April 26-June 7 (No May 24), Nichols Field. Ages 4 and Grade K: 2:00-2:55 p.m. Grades 1&2: 3:00-3:55 p.m. Grades 3-5: 4:00-4:55 p.m. Grades 1-6 will also play traditional games on Tuesdays, April 29-June 3.

Food Explorers Spring Desserts for Grades 2 & 3: Each week you will make a dessert inspired by our favorite Spring flavors and foods. You will be making: Strawberry Lemonade Pies, Carrot Cake Donuts, Chocolate Banana Cupcakes, and Raspberry Vanilla Whoopie Pies. All recipes are nut-free but will contain dairy, eggs, and gluten.
