We are accepting applications for summer day camp counselors, lifeguards, and beach attendants. Must be Age 16+. The application deadline is April 1. Job descriptions and application can be found here or may be picked up in our office or in the NHRHS Guidance Office. Red Shirt Counselor (Counselor in Training) application deadline is May 15.
Registration for summer camp will open April 1st. More details and program information will be shared as it becomes available.
18+ Pick-up Basketball: Monday, March 2, 9, 16, 23, 30. 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. $20 for session or $5 drop-in. Municipal Gym.
30+ Pick-up Basketball: Sunday, March 1, 8, 15, 22, 29. 9:00 - 11:00 a.m. $20 for session or $5 drop-in. Nathan Hale-Ray High School.
Boot Camp Fitness: Ages 16+. Boot Camp Fitness offers custom small group training sessions offered by a Certified Personal Trainer. Our sessions focus on exercises and functional training. A 60-minute workout with a 15-minute ending stretch will improve your core strength and balance. February 10 - April 2. Classes will be held in the Old Town Hall on Town Street on Tuesday, 6:00 - 7:15 p.m. and Municipal Gym on Thursday, 5:45 - 7:00 p.m. 1x/week $64, 2x/week $96, or $10 drop-in.
18+ Pickleball Sessions: Sunday, March 1, 8, 15, 22, 30. 9:00 - 11:00 a.m. - Open to all levels. Monday, March 2, 9, 16, 23, 30. 9:30 - 11:30 a.m. - Beginner/Intermediate. Tuesday, March 3, 10, 17, 24, 31. 9:30 - 11:30 a.m. - Advanced. Wednesday, March 4, 11, 18, 25. 9:30 - 11:30 a.m. - Beginner. 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. - Intermediate/Advanced. Youth Spring Soccer: Pre K - Grade 8. Pre-K (Age 4) - K: Soccer skills and drills with CAS Coaches. Saturdays, April 25 - June 6, 2:00 - 2:55 p.m. $75. Grades 1 - 8: Two days of soccer fun! Saturdays, April 25 - June 6, Grades 1 - 2: 3:00 - 3:55 p.m. Grades 3 - 6: 4:00 - 4:55 p.m. Tuesday Games, April 28 - June 2, 5:30 - 6:30 p.m. $85. Gentle Yoga: This class is appropriate for all levels of fitness or yoga experience. Ages 16 and up. Improve your strength and flexibility while decreasing stress. Enjoy moving your body and breathing mindfully! Sunday: February 22 - March 29. 6:30 - 7:30 p.m. Senior Center. Wednesday: February 25 - April 1. 6:30 - 7:30 p.m., Senior Center. $65 for each 6 week session or $15 for a single class.
Safe Boating Course: Ages: 12+. Successful completion of the class qualifies a person to purchase their Certificate of Personal Watercraft Operation (CPWO) for $50 on the Online Sportsmen Licensing System. Stop the Bleed Course: This is a FREE 60-90 minute class presented by STOP THE BLEED, American College of Surgeons. Learn how to stop bleeding until the First Responders arrive. Next class is March 23, 7:00 - 8:30 p.m. Municipal Building, Meeting Room 3. Space is limited.
American Red Cross CPR For Babysitters: Ages 11 - 16. This is an extension of our ARC Babysitting Course. It is open to all those who have previously taken our babysitting class. This class will certify babysitters in Basic First Aid as well as Infant and Child CPR. March 23 & 30. 5:30 - 7:00 p.m. Parks & Rec. Activity Room, Municipal Building. Cost $72.
Home School Family Open Gym: Open gym offers a safe place for homeschool families to get together, burn off some energy, and have fun! Bring your family and sports/game equipment to the Municipal Gym. Parks & Rec equipment is available upon request. Suitable for all ages. Tuesday, March 3, 10, 17, 24, 31. 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. Registration required. $5 per family.
Clay Explorers- Abrakadoodle: Grades 1 - 3. Experiment with ideas from master sculptors and historical objects. Using clay, modern plasticine and Model Magic, students will learn and practice the possibilities of creating unique three-dimensional objects. Feel like an accomplished artist! Spring Into STEM with LEGOS: Grades 1 - 3. Celebrate the coming of Spring using tens of thousands of LEGO® parts. Build chirping birds, design blossoming flowers, and take a ride on a paddle boat. Design and build like never before and explore your craziest ideas with an experienced Play-Well instructor. Mondays, April 20 - May 11. 3:15 - 4:45 p.m. East Haddam Elementary. Cost $100.
Glow in the Dark Laser Tag: Join us for a night of glow in the dark laser tag with Laser Tag on the Go. 2 hours of fun-filled games, music, and refreshments. Open to all ages 6 years and up. Tuesday, April 14. 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Municipal Gym. $20 per person.
