Basketball for Grades 1-8
Grades 1&2: Our parent volunteer coaches will offer skill-based instruction focusing on fundamentals of passing, shooting, ball handling, rebounding, and defense with small-sided scrimmages. Saturdays, January 7 – February 11. Time TBD. Location: East Haddam Elementary School. Fee: $85
Grades 3-8: Players will participate in a traditional season consisting of practices and games. Players must be able to commit to 1-2 weekday practices and 1 Saturday game per week. Some games will be played away against neighboring towns. Location: East Haddam Elementary School and Municipal Gyms. Fee: $125
Volunteer coaches are needed for all age groups. Coaches will receive a free registration for one child in the program.

Important Notes
All players will be provided a team shirt.
At registration you will have the option to identify a day that your child cannot practice.
For players in grades 6-8: We understand that middle school basketball tryouts may not be finalized prior to our registration deadline. We want to ensure that every child who wants to play basketball has the opportunity to do so. If your child is not selected for the middle school team and would still like to play this winter, please reach out to us immediately so we can work together to provide them a basketball experience through Parks and Recreation.
Skyhawks Basketball: Hoopstertots- Ages 2-3: Learning basketball has never been more fun! These classes focus on dribbling, shot technique, passing and teamwork. Adjustable hoops and appropriately sized basketballs are used to always provide just the right amount of challenge. Parent participation required for ages 2-3.5 years. Saturdays, January 7- February 11, 9:00-9:50 a.m. (max 10 players) $110.
Skyhawks Basketball Instruction for Pre-K Age 4-Kindergarten: This fun, skill-intensive program is designed for beginning to intermediate players. Using our progressional curriculum, we focus on the whole player - teaching sportsmanship and teamwork. Boys and girls will learn the fundamentals of passing, shooting, ball handling, rebounding and defense through skill-based instruction and small-sided scrimmages. Pre-K Age 4: Saturdays, January 7- February 11, 10-10:50 a.m., $115. Kindergarten: Saturdays, January 7- February 11, 11-11:50 a.m., $115. East Haddam Elementary School Gym.
