Noises Sports Academy:
Grades 1 - 9, varies by sport. Noises Sports Academy is a program sponsored by a group of coaches committed to developing youth sports in our town, independent of the East Haddam School system. June 22 - 25 (Rain Date June 26). Co-ed Soccer & Girls Softball 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m., Girls Volleyball & Boys Baseball 12:30 - 3:30 p.m., Co-ed Track/Cross Country & Co-ed Basketball 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Nathan Hale-Ray High School.

Summer Day Camp: Grades 1 - 8. June 29 - August 14. Weekdays, 8:00 a.m.- 3:00 p.m. After Care available most days from 3:00 - 5:00 p.m. Attend all 6 weeks or pick your favorite week. Week 1: June 29 - July 2, All American. Week 2: July 6 - 10, Wide World of Sports. Week 3: July 13 - 17 Surf’s Up. Week 4: July 20 - 24, Danger Zone. Week 5: July 27 - 31, Explore More. Week 6: August 3 - 7, Back to the Future. Week 7: August 10 -14, Water Works. In addition to camp, there are field trips available each week for an additional fee. East Haddam Elementary School.

Cheer Camp: Grades 1 - 8. Cheer camp will teach age-appropriate fundamental cheerleading and dance skills including cheerleading motion technique, dances, jumps, tumbling and stunts presented in a safe environment. No experience necessary. Coach Corbett will provide a welcoming and supportive environment for anyone who has ever been interested in trying cheerleading! June 29 - July 2 or August 3 - 6. 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Municipal Gym.

Skyhawks Mini-Hawk and Multi-Sport Tots: Ages 2 - 5. July 16 - August 20. Wednesday evenings. Ages 2 - 3: 4:00 - 4:45 p.m. Ages 4 - 5: 5:00 - 5:50 p.m. Introduce your little superstar to sports in our most popular program! These baseball, basketball & soccer classes use age-appropriate games and activities to explore balance, hand/eye coordination, fitness, sport skills and child development. Parent participation is required for ages 2 - 3.5 years. Municipal Gym.

CAS Soccer Camp: Ages 4 - 15. August 18 - 22. Grouped by Ages 4 - 6, 9:00 - 10:30 a.m. Ages 7 - 15, 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. CAS Community Soccer Camp focuses on creating a fun learning environment while fostering a love for the game through skill acquisition, conditioned practices and small-sided games.  For All Levels of Ability. Nathan Hale-Ray High School.

Food Explorers Camp: Grades 1 - 3. August 17 - 21. 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. A hands-on camp where young chefs create delicious, made-from-scratch dishes! Campers will make savory favorites like Mozzarella Breadsticks, Wonton Cups, Fresh Pasta, and Stuffed Flatbreads, all while learning essential kitchen techniques. It’s all about fresh ingredients, creative cooking, and the joy of making it all by hand. All recipes are nut-free and vegetarian but will contain dairy, eggs, and gluten. Parks & Rec Activity Room, Municipal Building.

18+ Pick-up Basketball: Monday, June 8, 15, 22, 29 (No June 1). 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. Thursdays, June 4, 11  (No June 18 & 25). $24 for session or $5 drop-in. Municipal Gym.

30+ Pick-up Basketball: Sunday, June 7, 14, 21, 28. 9:00 - 11:00 a.m. $16 for session or $5 drop-in. Nathan Hale-Ray High School.

Boys Basketball Open Gym: Grades 4-6 (As of fall 26). Tuesdays & Wednesdays, 5:00 - 6:15 p.m. June 3, 17, July 1, 14, 28, August 11, 26, September 9. $10 for session. Municipal Gym.

Boot Camp Fitness: Ages 16+. Boot Camp Fitness offers custom small group training sessions offered by a Certified Personal Trainer.  Our sessions focus on exercises and functional training. A 60-minute workout with a 15-minute ending stretch will improve your core strength and balance. June 16 - August 6. Classes will be held in the Old Town Hall on Town Street on Tuesday, 6:00 - 7:15 p.m. and Municipal Gym on Thursday, 5:45 - 7:00 p.m. 1x/week $64, 2x/week $96, or $10 drop-in.

18+ Pickleball Sessions:  Sunday, June 7, 14, 21, 28. 9:00 - 11:00 a.m. - Open to all levels. Monday, June 1, 8, 15 (No June 22 & 29). 9:30 - 11:30 a.m. - Beginner/Intermediate. Wednesday, June 3, 10, 17 (No June 24). 9:30 - 11:30 a.m. - Beginner. Wednesday, June 3, 17, 24 (No June 10). 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. - Intermediate/Advanced. Thursday, June 4, 11, 18 (No June 25). 9:30 - 11:30 a.m. - Intermediate. Friday, June 5, 12, 19, 26. 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. - Open to all levels. Municipal Gym. 

16+ Open Gym Soccer: Monday, June 8, 15, 22, 29 (No June 1). 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. $16 for session or $5 Drop-in. Municipal Gym.

16+ Co-Ed Volleyball: Tuesday, June 2, 9, 16, 23, 30. 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. $20 for session or $5 Drop-in. Municipal Gym.

Gentle Yoga: This class is appropriate for all levels of fitness or yoga experience. Ages 16 and up. Improve your strength and flexibility while decreasing stress. Enjoy moving your body and breathing mindfully! Sunday: June 14 - August 2 (No July 19 & 26). 6:30 - 7:30 p.m. Senior Center. Wednesday: June 3 - July 8. 6:30 - 7:30 p.m., Parks & Rec Activity Room/Senior Center.  $65 for each 6 week session or $15 for a single class.

Stop the Bleed Course: This is a FREE 60-90 minute class presented by STOP THE BLEED, American College of Surgeons. Learn how to stop bleeding until the First Responders arrive. Next class is June 15, 7:00 - 8:30 p.m. Municipal Building, Meeting Room 3. Space is limited.

American Heart Association Heartsaver CPR/AED Class: Ages 14+. This course trains participants to provide First Aid, CPR, and use an automated external defibrillator (AED) in a safe, timely, and effective manner to victims of any age. This course completes the requirements for  babysitting, childcare workers, athletic coaches and camp counselors. Participants who successfully complete the course will receive an American Heart Association certificate valid for two years. Participant manual included with course fee. Monday, June 1, 5:00 - 9:00 p.m. Municipal Building, Parks & Rec Activity Room. Cost $108.


East Haddam Town Beach Parking Permit

As of Saturday, May 23, 2026 all vehicles must have a Town of East Haddam permit or visitor’s daily pass to park at the Town Beach through September 7 (Labor Day). The Town Beach is open daily from dawn until dusk. Lifeguards are on duty daily from 10am-5pm, beginning June 20. All visitors must adhere to the beach regulations (below) or will be asked to leave.

PROCEDURES FOR PERMANENT RESIDENT PASSES
Town permits may be obtained at no cost from the
East Haddam Public Works Department. If you do not have a current permit, we will accept a driver’s license with current East Haddam/Moodus/Lake Hayward address noted. If driver’s license does not include an East Haddam/Moodus/Lake Hayward address, a suitable proof of residency such as tax bill or utility bill must also be presented. Driver’s license or photo ID will be matched with either the tax bill or utility bill.
Note: Registered motorcycles require a parking pass.

APPLICATION PROCEDURES FOR VISITORS/NON-RESIDENTS
Non-resident daily passes may be obtained in person from the Town Beach parking attendant. Parking pass must be placed on the car dashboard, so it is visible to beach attendant. Please note, there is no parking on the street and there is NO OVERNIGHT PARKING ALLOWED.

A non-resident season pass may be purchased at our Parks and Rec Office (1 Plains Road, Moodus, CT 06469) or on our website
www.easthaddamrec.com (must create an account). Season passes are not available for purchase at the beach. A completed application must accompany payment. If paying by check, please make payable to: EHPR, P.O. Box 385, Moodus, CT  06469. All season passes will be mailed to the address provided or may be picked up in person at the Parks and Rec Office. Season passes must be hung from rear-view mirror so they are visible to beach attendant. Please note parking on the street  and OVERNIGHT PARKING ARE NOT ALLOWED.
