Exploring food encourages children to learn through sensory experiences, hands-on activities and working together to create delicious results. Children will have the freedom to explore thanks to our unique "food neutral" approach to teaching about food. Our unique Food Neutral approach to our classes allows children to explore and eat foods without a side of guilt. Our goal is to help children develop a positive relationship with food.
Food Explorers 4-Week Class for Grades 1-3
For each week of the program, students will learn about each of the five sections of MyPlate. Each week, they will focus on cooking a recipe made with ingredients from the corresponding food group.

Each week you’ll make brand-new recipes focused on fall flavors and ingredients. You’ll be making: Pumpkin Mousse Trifles, Apple Fritters, Snickerdoodle Cupcakes, and S’mores Donuts. All recipes are nut-free and vegetarian but will contain dairy, eggs, and gluten.
