Players are drafted by team captains using a snake draft format, with selections informed by draft profiles based on peer surveys.Gameplay Format:Weekly Matches: 10 games played in a two-hour period on two courts.Scoring: Games to 9 points (win by 1); teams earn points for each win.Player Rotation: All players rotate evenly to ensure equal playtime.Match Schedule Example:Court 1: TEAM A vs. TEAM BCourt 2: TEAM C vs. TEAM D After three weeks of regular matches, a playoff week determines final standings.Player DraftThe draft process is designed to form balanced and competitive teams in the league. Each of the four teams will select five players, with the draft conducted in a snake format: the first round follows the order 1-2-3-4, and the second round reverses to 4-3-2-1, continuing until all 20 players are selected. The draft order is determined by the skill rankings of the captains, with the lowest-ranked captain selecting first and the highest-ranked captain selecting last.To aid captains in making informed decisions, draft profiles for all players are provided. These profiles, compiled anonymously through a peer survey conducted immediately after sign-ups, highlight player strengths, skills, and performance ratings. The profiles are distributed exclusively to the captains by the commissioner before the draft begins. This structured draft process ensures fairness, promotes strategic team building, and sets the stage for a fun and competitive league.Weekly GameplayWeekly gameplay will consist of 10 matches held within a two-hour period on two courts at the municipal gym. Each match will feature two players from each team competing against two players from another team, ensuring all players rotate evenly and receive equal playing time. The schedule will ensure that every team faces each of the others in different configurations. Teams will earn points for each game won, with games played to 9 points, win by 1.Each week the commissioner will provide a write up of the previous weeks events, any schedule changes and substitutions for the next week.ChampionshipAfter three weeks of regular play, a final playoff week will determine the league standings. The top two teams will compete for 1st and 2nd place, while the bottom two teams will play to decide 3rd and 4th place.
